The concept of smart economic growth has been recently advanced as a solution for the negative externalities generated by the traditional models of economic growth. Although at present it doesn’t have a clear and widely accepted definition, the smart economic growth represents a new, interdisciplinary and comprehensive concept that relates economic growth to the quality of life, job creation, environmental protection and the balanced development of urban and rural communities, with crucial implications for the long term economic development.

This linkage is put more in a proverbial manner in the Indian contours as “When US sneezes, India catches cold” which is only indicative of the coupling and decoupling effects shared by the geographically distant countries.

The ongoing revolution in communication technology and the effectiveness of knowledge- based economics has created a new model of business and corporate governance for the emerging economies. A growing awareness about the need for ecological sustainability has paved the way for a new generation of business leaders concerned about the responses of the community and sustainability of the environment. The triple bottom line (people, planet, profit) approach to CSR emphasizes a company’s commitment to operating in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner. The emerging concept of CSR advocates moving away from a ‘shareholder alone’ focus to a ‘multi-stakeholder’ focus. This would include investors, employees, business partners, customers, regulators, supply chain, local communities, the environment and society at large. Ekonomia i Prawo. Economics and Law
Journal "Ekonomia i Prawo. Economics and Law" is affiliated by the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. It has been published since 2005 at first on an annual basis and since 2012 it is issued four times a year. The dominant area of science that describes the magazine are the social sciences, and the disciplines corresponding to the topic discussed in the journal title are economics and law. The journal "Economics and Law" is issued in print (as the original version) and in electronic version. The creation of the magazine "Ekonomia i prawo. Economics and Law" is a result of increasing awareness of undervaluing, or even neglecting, the importance of institutional solutions for the effectiveness of the Polish economy, and more broadly, the level of social welfare. Poland, as an example, proves that creation of a market economy, without it being supported by an institutional infrastructure, entails many disadvantageous results such as: neglect of a state of law, inefficiency of social controls mechanisms, progressing decrease of Polish parliamentary system prestige, lack of methods of solving conflicts ex ante, a faulty structure of public finances, lack of control over a considerable part of public resources, unclear mechanism of reaching regulations on particular markets, lack of clearly defined developmental strategy, If, in such circumstances, the state undertakes intervention in the market ineffectiveness, it may be only increased. The journal indicator’s efforts aim at making the chance real by creating a solid plane of communication between economists and lawyers in the process of influencing the shape of the state’s institutional order.

The Dynamic Econometric Models was established in 1994 with the aim of creating a field journal for the publication of econometric research. The scope of the Journal includes papers dealing with methodological aspects of dynamic econometrics, as well as papers dealing with various aspects of econometric techniques and forecasting to important areas of economics. The Journal is open to all contributions in dynamic econometrics, whether theoretical, practical, computational and methodological. Journal of Corporate Responsibility and Leadership
Journal of Corporate Responsibility and Leadership (JCR&L - e-ISSN 2392-2699) is a double blinded scientific quarterly published by the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management and the Centre for Leadership and Corporate Social Responsibility, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. The aim of the journal is to establish the platform for scientific discussion and to disseminate the research findings on corporate responsibility and leadership. The scope of the papers published in the JCR&L covers the issues of: corporate responsibility to employees and other stakeholders, organisations in business environment, society and the natural environment; - leadership including contemporary concepts of leadership, the roles played by top, middle and first line managers, and challenges (both external and intra-organisational) faced by leaders in business, public sector and non-profit organisations. Journal of Corporate Responsibility and Leadership only prints the papers which have not been published earlier. The Editorial Committee may consider a paper previously published in a language other than English. Whenever such a paper is submitted for publication the author is obliged to make this clear. The journal is published in a paper version and an on-line version. The paper version is a reference one.
