In this paper we’ll description and analyze the author’s confession of the stories “Church of St. Sophia”. The stories tell us and description for the Ottoman Empire period and later the Ottoman Empire has order for to turn the best Church in the world into a Mosque. With this assignment was laden the architect Kaur. The Church has had the beautiful rare, unpredictable that shone in the sky! The architect with his name Kaur, who was laden to turn it from Church to Mosque, finally he decided to quisle the Sultan and the Ottoman Empire, too. So, the architect was obliged to make such a transformation any Church to Mosque, but it was never done, because when the Sultan offered to the Church he’d a great illness. The stories generally description for the life of Albanian people that were in two ways of the trust. The first or some people trust at the Church and the second group of the people trust on the Mosque. Në këtë studim do të përshkruajmë dhe analizojmë tregimin “Kisha e Shën Sofisë”. Tregimi në fjalë na lë të kuptojmë se autori na rrëfen për njërën nga kohërat e pushtimit të Perandorisë Osmane, ku kjo e fundit jep urdhër që kishën më të mirë në botë që ta shndërrojnë në xhami. Me këtë detyrë e ngarkojnë arkitektin me emrin Kauri. Kisha kishte një bukuri të rrallë, e paparashikueshme, e cila shndriste në qiell! Arkitekti me emrin Kauri, i cili ishte i ngarkuar me këtë detyrë, nuk e dëshironte shkatërrimin dhe shndërrimin e saj, andaj ai vendosi ta tradhton Sulltanin dhe Perandorin e tij. Por, arkitekti ishte i detyruar ta bënte një shndërrim të tillë, jo ta rrënonte, por ta shndërronte nga kisha në xhami, gjë e cila nuk u bë kurrë, sepse në momentin kur Sulltani ju ofrua shtyllës së famshme të kishës, atij ju paraqit një dhimbje e madhe, e ligshti, ku në mënyrë simbolike autori e jep si dënim për njeriun keqdashës të kishës. Nga koherenca kur Kadare e ka botuar këtë tregim, më 1994, në Tiranë, e përshkruan kohen e kaluar duke na rrëfyer për dy kultura, për dy besime fetare atë të krishtere dhe atë myslimane, por edhe popullsia shqipfolëse e ndarë në dyshë më disa të orientuar drejt Azisë e islamizmit, e të tjerat drejt Evropës.
