Description |
This paper presents an empirical examination of Japanese investors’ location decisions in China and variations in those decisions. The mixed logit model, a recent advancement in discrete choice models, is adopted for the first time in plant location literature by virtue of its superior ability to accommodate heterogeneity. The paper is also intended to propose and establish a systematic method to detect heterogeneity in location choice situations.
