Description บทคัดย่อ บทความนี้ศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกพันธุ์ข้าวพื้นเมืองที่นิยมของเกษตรกรบนพื้นที่สูง ปัจจัยดังกล่าวมีผลโดยอ้อมต่อการอนุรักษ์พันธุ์ข้าวพื้นเมือง มีการสัมภาษณ์เกษตรกรจำนวน 816 ราย ครอบคลุมพื้นที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เชียงราย แม่ฮ่องสอน และน่าน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พันธุ์ข้าวที่เกษตรกรบนพื้นที่สูงนิยมปลูกมักเป็นพันธุ์ที่มีรสชาติอร่อยถูกปากและให้ผลผลิตสูง ส่วนผลการวิเคราะห์แบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง พบว่า รายได้นอกฟาร์มและปริมาณผลผลิตเป็นปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลสูงต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกพันธุ์ข้าว ขณะที่ข้อจำกัดด้านสภาพแวดล้อมเป็นปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลน้อยที่สุด  คำสำคัญ : การตัดสินใจของเกษตรกร, ข้าวพันธุ์พื้นเมือง, แบบจำลองสมการเชิงโครงสร้าง   Abstract This study examines factors affecting farmers' choice of popular rice varieties in theupland areas, which would indirectly affect the conservation of upland rice varieties. The interviewdata of 816 farmers from Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Maehongsorn, and Nan were used in theanalysis. It was found that the aromatic and high yielding varieties were of favor. The analysisusing a structural equation model showed that non-farm income and rice yield were the majorfactors affecting farmers' choice, while the environmental constraint had the least influence on thefarmers' choice.
