Description The bullying extent demography is analyzed and discussed in this paper, having in mind both local and worldwide contexts. Legal education is hypothetically seen as an important activity for spreading widely the value of human rights and peace culture, instead of rooted bullying. The aim of the research presented in the article— is to clarify the conceptions of teachers and 8-10 grade pupils about the legal education role in bullying prevention. The question of what are the most important topics for school students in legal education is answered by teachers and students themselves. Conceptions summarized and differences among students and teachers answers are laid down. In the theoretical part, bullying prevention possibilities are contextualized within Lithuanian secondary school cases. Empirical data has revealed that legal education is one of the prevention instruments to avoid or eliminate taunting expressions. Legal education is very important to a student’s life since, according to survey participants, such education helps nourish positive personal features such as respect for rights, citizenship, legal consciousness, tolerance etc. These features prevent negative manifestations of mocking, bullying and taunting that are still predominant in modern schools. Students find that it is very important in legal education to analyze and discuss practical problematic situations, learn by examples and develop peaceful thinking and action skills while teachers emphasize theoretical studies of law.
