Description |
There are two main arguments for replacing government welfare with private nonprofit organizations. One is ethical. The state programs are predicated upon compulsory taxes, and the less coercion in society the better. The other is efficacy. Governments are inefficient at whatever they do, and helping the poor via transfers of funds to them is no exception. Keywords: welfare, charity, poverty, economics
