Description To achieve high academic prestige and better funding, universities try to ensure the best conditions for research, and libraries play a fundamental part in ensuring the necessary support to the basic educational process and to the scientific and research activity. In its capacity of information and documentation centre, the library offers access to quality information, be it traditionally - through proper book purchasing, or by accessing recent scientific data bases. For modern libraries, it is a challenge to develop new quality services, by improving classic services through information technology. Quality assurance with a view to meeting users’ demands is one key to success. This paper reveals the research on improved services offered by the LBUS Library.
