Description Cloud computing enables collaborative innovation and service manufacturing possible which has brought new opportunities and challenges to the development of manufacturing enterprises. On the basis of the present situation of manufacturing value chain and characteristics of cloud computing, this paper tries to analyze the impact of cloud computing on the manufacturing value chain, in order to make a discussion on the application of cloud computing in manufacturing industry. The results show that on the one hand, cloud computing enables manufacturing value chain to implement the dynamic reconfiguration of low cost, high efficiency and excellent quality, on the other hand, to realize highly coordination among enterprises through the cloud platform, manufacturing value chain manifests stronger demand orientation, greater degree of network and flexibility, as well as highly dynamism and instability. In addition, cloud computing has changed the value-added links to a certain extent, thus deepening the degree of servicisation of manufacturing value chain.
