Description |
Presented are the results of the analysis of various inequalitymeasures evaluated in the quantile model framework.Various approaches to probability modeling of wages areused while goodnessoffit has the highest priority when choosing models of the income distribution. The linearity of the pattern of points in a quantilequantile plot (QQ plot) is a visualization of the goodnessoffit line. The model chosen to interpret the data influenced thecalculated single inequality statistic. A feature of the QQplot constructed by displaying the order statistics is that theinequality measures can be obtained as least squaresestimates of a QQ diagram. Tarsitanos applied approachis compared to the classical approach to the calculation ofinequality measures of wages of employees in the SlovakRepublic.
