Description |
The objective of this study was to examine the correlation between the Arab woman’s relationship with her spouse and the severity of depression. The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) was used to focus on the cognitive and affective features of depression. This study involved long-term research. This study found a correlation between women’s problematic relationships with their spouses and the severity of depression. This study has both clinical and research implications. Clinically, the importance of psychosocial factors and social support for a new mother calls for the consideration of these factors in the design of antenatal and postnatal care plans for women.
