This paper is aimed to study roles of creative economy in the aspect ofsocial and community development. Analyses are conducted on 2 bases, which arearea-base and product-base. Two cases of the study are Amphawa Floating Marketand ChaophayaAbhibhubejhr Foundation. Findings show that the most importantkey factor in applying creative economy in social and community development isthe process and method in identifying “internal capitals” of the community andlocals those already exist and have potential to be newly created and added value.These capitals will be “identities” as well as self-reflection of the community andlocals which are crucial factors to the success of sustainable social and communitydevelopment.
