Description Investment planning is a very important function of the company requiring to make decisions already during its establishing and also expanding. The contribution is dealing with a description of the general planning methods based on the theoretical knowledge. Its aim is also to point out to basic theoretical procedures which are used and known in practice from the aspect of making decisions on investments and from a viewpoint of the evaluation of investment projects. The theoretical considerations are followed by particular proposals of how the investment planning should be applied and utilized in the manufacturing company.
