Patent policy aims not only to protect industrial property, but also to create incentives for innovation and thus to encourage companies to invest more in research and development. This policy should not consider excessive protection and should not constitute a barrier to the dissemination of knowledge. Indeed, by privatizing the knowledge of innovations, excessive protection is an obstacle to the dissemination of new ideas and a barrier to entry.
