Description |
This paper is an attempt to analyze the skill-related dimensions of women entrepreneurs in Pudukkottai District of Tamil Nadu. Entrepreneurship is ‘an individual’s ability to turn ideas into action. It includes creativity, innovation and risk-taking, as well as the ability to plan and manage projects in order to achieve objectives. There is little information available to measure the level of these skill¬sets, so entrepreneurship is usually measured by proxy indicators, such self-employment and business creation rates. An ability to take decisions based on balanced risk assessment and in-formation analysis; recognising and implementing opportunities for business growth. The study primarily analyses the strength of the relationship of the skills with success. The questionnaire survey method was employed to collect data for conducting the study. One-way ANOVA (SPSS) with Duncan multiple range test and Friedman’s - test have been used as statistical tools for analysis. The findings of the study show the relationship and the effect of the skills on the success of women entrepreneurs, thereby leading to implications that leave further scope for future research. The study will help the entrepreneurs to improve their standard life, supports to develop decision making ability and other skills.
