Creator Leonina Emilia Baciu; Babes-Bolyai University

Description This research analyzes the work motivation of civil servants from Cluj-Napoca City Hall. Based on Victor Vroom’s expectancy theory are analyzed the aspects related to the context of work and career of civil servants that influence their expectation, instrumentality and valences. The study is based on a quantitative research methodology. The results show that although there are positive influences, however, the level of work motivation is medium. The study is important for the management of local public institutions, public and private managers as well as other interested parties.
