Description South African skills development policy since the promulgation of the Skills Development Act of 1998 has undergone a number of different iterations or attempts at accelerating the quality of provision and the content of training. The writer analyses the proposals to change skills policy for the fourth phase (2020-2025) of the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) that have been developed by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
