Description      The recreative use of Sierras de Segura and Cazorla (Jaén) has become in one of the more effective alternatives for the new social and economic development on those depressed regions along the last decades. Several natural (water, vegetation, fauna) and juridical factors (the ownership of mountains is chiefly public) and the decided intervention of Public Administration to implant a new turistic structure have contributed to reach that development.
     El uso recreativo de los montes de las Sierras de Segura y Cazorla (Jaén), se ha convertido durante las últimas décadas en una de las alternativas más eficaces de cara a la reactivación socioeconómica de estas comarcas deprimidas. A ello han contribuido distintos factores de naturaleza física (agua, vegetación, fauna) y jurídica (propiedad de los montes mayoritariamente pública), así como una decidida intervención de la Administración pública en favor de la implantación y desarrollo de la nueva infraestructura turística.
