Description This study summarizes the legal and ethical implications of the privacy policies of the top ten newspapers in the United States. The papers have created policies using language that is more complicated than a typical readerwould read. They have allowed themselves to collect data from a wide variety of sources and send the information to third parties can use the information for a variety of purposes. These policies exist in the context of the FourthAmendment, Electronic Monitoring Communications Act, Wiretap Statutes, and other laws and court cases.
