Description business students to develop their leadership skills and become an effective leader to prepare for students’ future career success. How to develop leadership skills and become an effective leader are two interesting issues in business education. In this paper, we focus on how to use a comprehensive leadership development approach to help business students to acquire their leadership skill and how to become an effective leader. First we discuss existing methods and research on how to use different methods to development leadership skills. Then we focus on the discussion about how to combine several different methods to develop business students in business education. Based on previous discussions and research, some propositions are presented on the relationship between several different methods and their impact on leadership skill development and leadership effectiveness.This study is important for several reasons. First, it develops a comprehensive approach to develop leadership skills to improve leader’s effectiveness. Second, it provides a practical way to develop leadership skills in the business education environment. Third, this study helps to develop some propositions to test in the future empirical study. The last part of paper explores the limitation and discusses about future empirical research in this field.Keywords: business education, leadership development, leadership effectiveness, university students
