Description Ecotourism has been identified as one of the mainattractions in the promotion of tourism in Malaysia. Despitehaving a number of breath-taking lakes, most of the well knownecotourism resorts are located in coastal-based areas. Lessattention is given to the lake-based ecotourism resorts, causingconcern about the neglect of management issues which have ledto a low occupancy rate. Meanwhile, scholars believe thatorganizational culture is an important factor in effectivemanagement. However, there is a lack of studies on themanagement of resorts, especially concerning organizationalculture. The aim of this paper is to explore the organizationalculture of ecotourism resorts in an ecotourism area; TasikKenyir. Questionnaires were distributed to resort employees whohave agreed to participate in the survey, yielding a 77% responserate. The data was analysed using factor analysis. Four factorshave emerged as constructs of organizational values and anotherfive factors emerged for organizational practice. The resultsprovide an understanding of the organizational culture that isavailable in resorts in the ecotourism industry.
