Description Sets of incrementally reinforced EXCEL spreadsheet cases have been constructed and used at Fairleigh Dickinson University over the past two years with a high degree of student involvement and participation. The construction of these cases is based on an adaptation of a management goal-setting technique, having the acronym S.M.A.R.T. This paper describes the application of this management goal-setting technique to the construction of spreadsheet case, and presents an example case illustrating its actual use.
