Description This study focuses on evaluating whether companies in Nigeria incorporate environmental practices that are environmentally friendly in line with Green accounting concepts. The main objective of this study was to examine companies’ environmental practices so as to determine if they are environmentally friendly. The source of data for this study was primary data obtained with the aid of a questionnaire and the statistical tool employed is the Mann-Whiteny U test. The results of the analysis revealed that majority of the respondents agree that environmental cost accounting impact positively on profitability and success of the manufacturing firms. It was also found that environmental cost accounting impact positively on profitability and success of the manufacturing firms. The finding further revealed that majority of the respondents concur that manufacturing firms incorporates practices that are environmentally friendly in line with green accounting concepts as to enhance sustainable development, it was found that manufacturing firms incorporates practices that are environmentally friendly in line with Green accounting concepts as to enhance sustainable development.
