Title Library Development: A Long-Term Strategy for Library Funding

Creator Cervone, Frank

Subject

Description Compared with other areas of library management, library development has received little attention in the library literature. Many of the important works related to development were written more than a decade ago. In the last decade, only two major works related to the topic have been published: an issue of Library Trends (Winter 2000) devoted to development and fundraising, primarily in the academic environment, and an updated version of Steele
and Elder’s Becoming a Fundraiser. This is especially significant in a time of economic downturn.
