Description |
Compared with other areas of library management, library development has received little attention in the library literature. Many of the important works related to development were written more than a decade ago. In the last decade, only two major works related to the topic have been published: an issue of Library Trends (Winter 2000) devoted to development and fundraising, primarily in the academic environment, and an updated version of Steele and Elder’s Becoming a Fundraiser. This is especially significant in a time of economic downturn. |
