Description The concern to prevent the environmental degradation led to the genesis of green consumerism and sustainable development. Green consumerism is a multi-faceted concept which includes preservation of environment, minimization of pollution, responsible use of non-renewable resources, animal welfare and species preservation. This becomes possible only if he has proper environmental awareness and develops eco-friendly attitude and starts practicing eco-friendly behaviour. In this study an attempt has been made to compare eco-friendly attitude and practice of consumers in Chennai city.
