Description |
Like many other parts of the world, air pollution from motor vehicles is one of the most serious and rapidly growing problems in urban centers of India. Gurgaon city a satellite town in NCR is also facing air pollution problem due to rapid urbanization. The deterioration of urban air in arterial streets due to vehicular traffic exhaust and its interaction with the environment is causing a perceivable discomfort in daily life. Hence, an effort has been made through this study by considering the above factors and tried to establish baseline traffic and transport scenario to understand its impact on Ambient Air Quality, further to study the relation between total vehicles and air pollutants. Based on the outcome of this study a suitable policy decisions has been suggested to policy makers for taking appropriate measures to address the problem.
