Menstruation not only considered as unclean but a taboo in various places in India. Half of women population is at the risk because of poor sanitation. Normal women who are going through reproductive age dispose around 150 kg sanitary waste in her whole life. This waste not only looks dirty but causes non biodegradable discrete which requires urgent treatment to make environment safe. Before, menstruation become a disease in developing countries and sanitary waste turn up the highest waste contributor, we have to really work hard to make life of women healthy and environment clean. Improper menstruation management has a lifelong Impact on Women’s confidence, education, health, employment, safety and also on relationships which ultimately affects her contribution to the economy of Nation as getting fail in providing the fundamental sanitation right ultimately risks excluding half of the potential workforce Present research explores the Impact assessment of capacity building programme regarding “Menstrual Management” on Slum Women (16-30) of Jaipur district, Rajasthan. A capacity building programme was organized for 70 slum women belonged to 16-30 years. To assess knowledge gain a questionnaire was developed on the basis of designed information module. Finding revealed that majority of the respondents were belonged to very low knowledge prior to training/capacity building programme about various aspects of menstrual management but a good gain and retention was seen in their knowledge after training. It is concluded that a good capacity building programme can improve knowledge as well as skill of respondents.
