Description This research provides a platform to understand the performance of the public bus services such as SETC Bus-Services in the road transportation of the Coimbatore, awareness level, usage of new innovative services and other infrastructural developments in the city to improve the transportation and its beneficial impact on the financial System. It highlights the current weakness of the existing development in the area selected for the study. The study focuses on the public bus services such as SETC buses, with the help of a structured schedule for the general public and personal interviews with the passengers and the employees - employers of the SETC in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu state, India. It concentrates on the new emerging challenges in infrastructural development and its opportunities, issues and policies in SETC services and upgrade technical know-how in the road transportation with special reference to Coimbatore to provide maximum benefits to the general publics.

Primary data collected by conducting survey and personnel interviews with public in selected area. Structured questionnaires were used. In this view an attempt was made to measure the extent of deployment of SETC bus services and road transportation.
