Description Abstract. Within last few decades, sustainable development has started to become more and more popular as a conception. It proves how important is to approach to this matter via society, economy and environment etc. in terms of life standarts of future generations. Especially by the end of the 20th century, as the new development tools gained more importance then this proved the necessity of sustainable development. Therefore this study was aimed on consideration of development progress in Turkey and Brazil. In this context, it has been discussed the progress levels of these countries in terms of sustainable development also it has been proved what policies need to be used in order to provide a more efficient sustainable development for Turkey.Keywords: Sustainable development, Renewable energy, Development, Sustainability.JEL Class: Q01, Q20, O10, Q56.
