Description This study used Granger causality test and Johansen co-integration test to examine higher education and economic growth relationship in Pakistan for the period 1982-2014. The analysis of the study shows that the variables used by this study are integrated at same level of order I(1) to become stationary. The study found that higher education enrolment (Ht) in Pakistan has long run positive impact on gross domestic product (GDPt). The study also found unidirectional Granger causality from gross domestic product (GDPt) to higher education enrolment (Ht) while no causal relationship found from higher education enrolment (Ht) to gross domestic product (GDPt) in Pakistan.
