Description Many studies show that professional on-work training and retraining are crucial in achieving proficiency for organisations. The quality and sustainability of an organisation depends on its regular and adequate training and development of its employees. Therefore, organisations that judiciously invest in training and development of their employees stand to realise increase in their competency, motivation, dedication and commitment to work. This study examines the perceptions of the staff attending the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s (FRCN) training programme and seeks to indicate “training” as a veritable tool for developing proficient human resources for broadcasting industry in Nigeria. The objectives are achieved through a methodical collection and collation of data in the Corporation.
