Description      This study try to analyse the sports an recreational activities and their tourist use in rural and natural areas. The principal objective of the study is to investigate the actual state of tourist and sports activities in the environment and to evaluate the territory as a support. In addition, the work offers a coherent plan on how to confront the evaluation of the teritory´s capacity in relation with the practice of some of the principal tourist an sports activities in the environment (hiking, cycle mountaineering, canyoning, etc.). The methodological option in which it fits is the multicriterial analysis.
     Este artículo plantea el análisis de una tipología concreta de prácticas turísticas, las actividades recreativo-deportivas en la naturaleza, haciendo especial hincapié en las relaciones existentes entre éstas y el medio natural que les sirve como soporte. La posibilidad de generar impactos ambientales negativos por parte de las mismas apunta la necesidad de llevar a cabo una adecuada planificación territorial previa a su localización espacial. En este sentido, se presenta una propuesta concreta de evaluación de la capacidad de acogida del territorio para usos turístico-deportivos en la naturaleza fundamentada en los análisis de evaluación multicriterio.
