Description |
The articles in this double issue of SPE examine the implications of US neoimperialism for state sovereignty. The authors critique “common sense” views of globalization, and advocate the importance of understanding the interaction of the local and national with globalized forces of production. They remind us that while economic policymaking is not bounded by external or technical constraints to the extent that we have been led to believe, the pre-eminence of the US state does have implications for the restructuring of capitalism within nation-states. |
