Description |
It is now some twelve years since the tragic death of Nicos Poulantzas. His name will be familiar to many SPE readers for two main reasons. First, he was a major contributor to the nee-Marxist rediscovery of the state (notably through the much-cited debate which he began with Ralph Miliband); and, second, he also provoked controversy for his account of changes in postwar capitalism and their implications for classes and the class struggle.
