In the last three decades, Canadian scholars have played a central role in shaping the field of feminist political economy. We have contributed to challenging the gender-blindness of political economy scholarship and advancing debates in feminist theory. Globalization, accelerating commodification and welfare state retrenchment, however, pose a number of challenges and opportunities to scholars in the field.
