Mobile Banking in India is in its nascent stage and there are certain prevailing issues which must be addressed for its smooth diffusion. This study was focused on exploring select issues in Mobile Banking in India and analyzing regulatory framework. For this a standardized questionnaire was developed and data was collected from senior bank managers and RBI officials. Analysis revealed that security, interoperability, network, customer illiteracy and standardization issues were significan, where as privacy, coordination and KYC/AML/CFT issue were insignificant. At last, recommendation were made to Mobile Banking service providers and regulators, followed by implications for future research.
