Description In the extension of our previous work (Ref. 1), the average values of the Z-indices have been computed for the simple and general graphs of the same size. Three results have been obtained: (i) General graphs have always higher average values of the Z-indices than the corresponding simple graphs, (ii) Replacement of the non-cut-edge of the graph with a loop increases the value of the Z-index, and (iii) The value of the Z-index of a path with a loop attached to its second vertex is higher than or equal to the value of the Z-index of the cycle of the same size.
