Description The purpose of this research aims investigating gender wage differentials among private employees in Thailand. This study follows Neuman and Oaxaca (2005) framework by correcting for selectivity bias and decomposing the gender wage differentials by accounting for selectivity term which has not yet been done in any research in the case of Thailand. The results revealed that male professional workers earned about 23.14 percent more of their real hourly wage than female professionals while different decomposition methods led to different sources and contributions of the gender wage differentials. Therefore, in order to determine public policies regarding gender wage differentials or discrimination in the labor market, it should be based on researches with correction for selectivity bias and take into account methods of measuring wage inequality due to gender discrimination.
