Description |
With the increasing international trade, there is a growing need to increase our understanding of consumer ethics from different countries. As there is no general theory of consumer ethics, countries being studied independently will only be a contribution for international markets. So far, no study has examined the ethical beliefs of Turkish consumers. This study investigated the relationships between Machiavellianism, ethical ideology, and the ethical beliefs of Turkish consumers. Results from this study have revealed that Turkish consumers are sensitive about ethical issues. In addition, the results have shown that Turkish consumers are represented by a variety of ethical ideologies.
