Title A theory of construction management?

Creator de Valence, Gerard

Subject

Description The links between theory and construction management (CM), and for that matter construction economics (CE), are not strong (see de Valence 2011). This may be one of the reasons why they have not gained complete acceptance as academic disciplines and are not seen as distinct branches of economics and management respectively. Another reason may be that products and production (the focus of management and economic theories respectively) are not the same as projects and project management in general, and construction projects and CM in particular.
