Description |
The paper examines and reframes severaltheories and approaches regarding the decisionmakingprocess and the politico-administrativerelations. The inner logic and the structure of thispaper should be scrutinized as an aggregate ofthree interdependent concepts. Firstly, we mentionbriefly the theoretical context of decision-makingconsisting out of a plethora of models developedin time. Subsequently, an overview of thepolitico-administrative affinities is presented tothe reader in the second section of the paper withan emphasis on the patterns and asymmetriesof powers between politicians and bureaucrats.Finally, the purpose of this paper lies in offeringan up-to-date theoretical perspective referring tothe political means of oversight and control overthe bureaucracy, due to which use the politicalactors underscore and heighten their roles of majordecision makers.
