Description The purpose of this study was to analyze the Management Composite Index of Apple Gardens in Orumieh County of West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. All the apple gardeners in Orumieh County consisted the statistical population of the study (N=20000). The sample size was determined as equal to 210 people selected by Cochran formula and stratified proportionate sampling method was used to select the sample. A questionnaire was designed and administered to gather the required data. Cronbach's alpha was computed to measure the reliability of different parts of the questionnaire which was above 0.7 for all the Likert -type scales. The gathered data were analyzed by SPSS software. The findings revealed that the score of most of the gardeners in Management Composite Index (MCIAG) was between 2-2.5 which implies that the status of gardeners in all dimensions of Apple gardens management was at the medium level. Also the Percent of Achievement of Favorite Index (AFI) in harvesting management was in better status than the other three dimensions of apple gardens management. Based on the findings, there was a significant relationship among the history of gardening and the locality of apple gardens with the score of MCIAG. The results of F-Test implies that the gardeners with different educational levels were significantly different in the   score of MCIAG and the T-Test showed that the gardeners who attended training courses are were significantly different from those gardeners who did not attended training courses in terms of studied indices.
