Description Purpose: To check the impact of organizational role in career development of an employee. Training and proper career counselling provided by the organization is the main tool for enhancing the career of employees. Design/Methodology/Approach: Quantitative study was conducted in Education sector of Pakistan. Sample of 100 employees of different universities and colleges located in Punjab province were selected. The survey was conducted through the questionnaire. Regression and Correlation was run to analyse the data. Findings: Findings reveals that positive and significant relation exists between Organizational role and career development. Limitations/Implications: Sample size was short due to time constraints. Large sample size can be taken. In order to check the relationship between organizational role and career development Social Cognitive Career Model (SCCT) can be studied. Originality/value: To check the organizational role in career development of employees. Organizations can play important role to satisfy employees in their careers.
