Description Co-operative Sugar Industries are Co-operative societies (SSCSIL) established under Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act 1960, for welfare and overall development of its members. They are working on the “No profit, No loss” basis and bound to welfare & development of their members. In last fifty years, they are not only contributed to the development of their members but also contributed to the development of society in which they are established and running their business successfully. Even non-members are also enjoying benefits of the same. So this research paper focused on the social activities conducted by Someshwar Co-operative Sugar Industry in last fifty years & effects on the society.
