In this paper, the optimal cutting age for a growing forest is calculated, considering both a single cycle and a multicycle situation, when the following functions are fitted to data: generalized logistic, logistic, Gompertz and Mitscherlich. An example is provided based on an experiment carried out in Brazil with Eucalyptus.
Neste trabalho a idade ótima de corte de um povoamento florestal é determinada considerando, alternativamente, apenas um ciclo ou uma sequência infinita de ciclos. A função utilizada é a logística generalizada, que inclui como casos particulares a logística, a função de Gompertz e a função de Mitscherlich. Dados experimentais sobre crescimento de Eucalyptus são utilizados para ilustrar a metodologia. |
