Description Although the idea of creating internal andexternal links within and between institutions isa relatively established one, the public relationsdomain can be considered a new branch of thepromotion process, mainly in the public sector inRomania. This paper aims at creating an overviewof the profile of public relations departments withinpublic institutions. In this research we aspire touncover the main elements that characterize theprofile of public relations departments within publicinstitutions, from the point of view of their qualityand professionalism. Moreover, this researchaims to establish whether there are differencesconcerning the public relations profile betweenpublic administration institutions and other specific public institutions.
