In the era of homogenization of development all over the globe, capital has become crucial aspect and major concern for countries, especially for the developing ones. Foreign funds inflow has become one of the major resources for this. Countries are in a constant race to attract more of foreign fund inflows or foreign direct investment (FDI).The objective of this paper is to study the impact of FDI in India on the employment generation capacity and GDP growth, it will go through sector-wise inflow of FDI in India and analyze its ability to generate employment and productivity in India.
