Description Systemic transformation in Poland had many dimensionp. In the context of the politics, it has resulted in democra-tization, pluralism, multiplicity of political parties and the relative openness of political recruitment. In the field of economic, transformation has led to the liquidation of the central control principles and subject actors’ behaviour to the market game. Correlated with them, but also with other, independent sources social changes opened the Polish society in the world and European trendp. There appeared the phenomenon previously unheard of in our society, or marginally present, countless people had to change their life strategies to function in the new reality. At the junction of planes constructing the sphere of interests in sociology and economics, there are various issues that seem interesting and important not only from the stand-point of science, but also the practice of social life. A cardinal issue here is unemployment, social exclusion and matching individuals to the realities of the labour market. It would result in the interest in the transformations taking place in the la-bour market, in the context of changes in various professions. Work process itself takes place mostly in a particular social milieu, the phenomenon of modern times up to now has not led to the emergence of large-scale task-oriented sets, which work activities are connected with human work in separation from other unitp. In addition, professions do not exist in a vacuum – their creations are addressed to individualp. In the course of daily life, each of us is in contact with representatives of various professions, tangible products of human work are with us at every step. Therefore, it seems important how we now assess the representatives of various professions, whether in the light of their status, we believe that they play their roles as they should. This issue our discussion is devoted to.
Transformacja systemowa w Polsce miała wiele wymiarów. W kontekście polityki zaowocowała demokratyzacją, pluralizmem, wielością partii politycznych i względną otwartością rekrutacji politycznej. W dziedzinie gospodarki przekształcenia doprowadziły do likwidacji zasad centralnego starowania i poddania zachowań aktorów grze rynkowej. Skorelowane z nimi, ale także mające inne, autonomiczne źródła zmiany społeczne otworzyły polskie społeczeństwo na trendy światowe i europejskie. Pojawiały się zjawiska wcześniej w naszym społeczeństwie niespotykane, bądź też obecne marginalnie, rzesze ludzi musiały zmienić dotychczasowe strategie życiowe, aby móc funkcjonować w nowej rzeczywistości. Na styku płaszczyzn konstruujących sferę zainteresowań socjologii i ekonomii pojawiły się rozmaite kwestie, które wydają się interesujące i ważne nie tylko z punktu widzenia nauki, ale również praktyki życia społecznego. Kardynalną kwestią jest tu bezrobocie, wykluczenie społeczne a także dostosowywanie jednostek do realiów rynku pracy. Wynikałoby z tego zainteresowanie przekształceniami mającymi miejsce na rynku pracy, w kontekście zmian dotyczących poszczególnych profesji. Sam proces pracy odbywa się najczęściej w określonym otoczeniu społecznym, zjawiska współczesności póki co nie doprowadziły do pojawienia się na masową skalę zorientowanych zadaniowo diad, które czynności związane z pracą ludzką wykonują w separacji od innych jednostek. Dodatkowo zawody nie istnieją w próżni – adresatami ich wytworów są jednostki. W toku codziennego życia każdy z nas styka się z przedstawicielami rozmaitych profesji, wytwory materialne pracy ludzkiej towarzyszą nam na każdym kroku. Istotne zatem wydaje się to, w jaki sposób oceniamy przedstawicieli poszczególnych profesji, czy w świetle ich statusów uważamy, że odgrywają swe role tak jak powinni. Tym właśnie zagadnieniom poświęcone są nasze rozważania.
