Description The objective of this research is to understand how effective small and medium enterprises arein the employment of the national labor force . To do so , the research investigates the views of a sampleof small and medium enterprises in Riyadh region to evaluate their role in the recruitment of employeesand the obstacles that they might face. The research has come to the conclusion that a very importantfactor in the success of economic development is the success of small and medium projects in theemployment of the national labor force , and stresses the need to focus on smaller projects in developmentplans, as well as concentrating efforts in the training of Saudi youth to promote their abilities and skills,and initiating innovative training tools to encourage appropriate training to facilitate the engagement ofSaudi youth in the work of those projects, where most enterprises employ foreigners who may be possessless ability and knowledge.Keywords: Small and Medium Enterprises , National Labor Force, Obstacles, Training.
