Description |
In the lexicon of the era of global restructuring, the nature of political community and sovereign power has been thrown into question. In much of the current literature, globalization has become associated with a crisis of the territorial nation-state. Globalization, it is argued, is stimulating a re-articulation of political space in which the notions of sovereignty and democracy are being detached from their traditional rootedness in the national community and the territorially-bounded nation-state.
