As we move toward the greater implementation of health reforms, it is important to assess the financial condition of US hospitals. The purpose of this paper is to provide an update assessment of the financial conditions of US hospitals. This purpose is important given the timing of health reforms in the next fiscal year with greater volumes of lower reimbursement.
